We recently had the pleasure of staying at Borve Camping & Caravan Site on the Isle of Barra, and it was an absolute gem! The site is located on the west coast of the island, offering stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean and breath taking sunsets. The facilities were excellent, with clean toilets and hot showers, a well-equipped kitchen area, and even free WiFi.

The pitches were well-maintained, with options for both hardstanding and grass pitches. We stayed in a motorhome with an electric hook up, and it was perfect for our needs. Donald the owner was so friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable.

One of the highlights was the proximity to the beautiful machair, Seal Bay, and golden beaches. We spent our days exploring the island, walking and cycling along the scenic routes, and enjoying the local wildlife. The campsite is also conveniently located just two miles from Castlebay, where you can find shops, cafes, and other amenities.

Overall, Borve Camping & Caravan Site is a fantastic place to stay if you’re looking for a peaceful and picturesque camping experience. I can’t wait to visit again!
